2314 days ago, I visited Costa Rica and started drinking pour-over coffee.
1590 days ago, during COVID-19 lock down, I started making pour-over coffee every morning.
690 days ago, before I left Hong Kong, I made coffee at home.
688 days ago, I arrived in Adelaide, I made coffee at home.
Today, I make coffee here.
Coffee-making has become a daily presence-making ritual for me. The seemingly ordinary everyday routine has revealed to be inherently beautiful and meaningful, where I exist in a different time and space … however fleeting.
If you encounter me making coffee, I aspire for you to also experience this revelation — of a horizon where we are beings, being-in-the-world.

“This work is conceptually rigorous and innovative.
There is an unexpected use of medium and the work asks us to consider the beauty in our everyday tasks and in the mundane parts of our lives.
It is a meditation on the importance of ritual, and speaks to our senses, sight sound and smell.”
