An exhibition of artworks in various media by members of the Red House Group Inc

This whole gallery exhibition features artwork in various media by members of the Red House Group Inc. The Red House Group is a not-for-profit artist managed group, that that acts as a focus for art and cultural activities for all individuals and other artist groups in the City of Marion council area and its surrounding region.
The exhibition title of New Horizons honours founding RHG member Billie Adams who sadly passed away earlier this year. Billie’s family spoke with Gallery M staff and relayed how important the RHG and Gallery M was to Billie. The family explained that Billie often felt that artists created their best works when they stepped out of their comfort zones and tried something new.
In honour of Billie and her connections to the Red House Group and Gallery M, the family has created a one-off set of prizes for artworks that best celebrate this idea. The prize money was kindly donated by Billie’s friends and family in lieu of floral tributes at her funeral.
The Red House Group Inc was founded in 1994 with just 35 artists making the joining. Since then, over 1,700 artists have joined with approximately 300 artists maintaining current memberships in any given year. New members are always welcome, and membership information can be found on this website.
