Conversations with Nature
An exhibition of Fine Art Photography by
Leonid Olijnyk
1 – 24 October (QUARTER GALLERY)
“Conversations with Nature” is an Exhibition of fine art photography by Leonid Olijnyk, a recognized contemporary artist and award-winning Fellow of the Royal South Australian Society of Art.
Leonid is a seeker of beauty with a unique style and presentation creating images of nature that reveal not only the colour and design but also the fine texture of his subject. He strives for simplicity and visual impact creating a real “conversation” – the camera in his hands becoming an extension of himself. “See what I see and feel what I feel” is his dream as he captures moments in time to be remembered forever and shared with everyone.
In 1980, together with his wife, Elynor, Leonid established his Photographic Art Gallery in Marino specialising in portraiture, restoration, and Fine Art. Using high-end precision cameras and printing his own images on archival Cansen Fibre Rag 310gsm and Hahnemuhle Metallic Rag paper 340gsm, he blends art with leading edge technology.
In February 2020, Jack Condous OAM launched the publication of Leonid’s life story The Good Provider by author, Elynor Frances Olijnyk. It is a poignant true account of the love and survival of the Olijnyk family who lived in Ukraine, survived two world wars, and eventually arrived in South Australia where Leonid’s dream of sharing his love of beauty was realised.
The Good Provider is on sale at the special price of $25 for the month of October only at Gallery M.
