Ian Willding Emerging Artist Prize

This annual prize honours the memory of the late Ian Willding (1954 – 2016). Ian was a well-known Indigenous Australian painter, who worked in a unique abstract style. He joined the Red House Group in 1995, and made an extraordinary contribution to the operations of the Red House Group and Gallery M.

Ian donated the inaugural Emerging Artist Prize shortly before his passing in 2016, and donations from members have ensured the prize has continued. Any donations are gratefully accepted.
