26 November 2021 – 8 January 2022 (WHOLE GALLERY)

Once again, Marion’s artistic community get the opportunity to display their talents in the 20th Annual City of Marion Community Art Exhibition. This has been a regular and popular event since the Marion Cultural Centre opened in 2001.

This exhibition has become a much-anticipated showcase for all the creative residents of the Marion Council area, and approximately 75 participants will be displaying their work. They range from junior artists, hobbyists and ‘weekend dabblers’ through to professional practitioners.

This year’s display features a tradition American Wild West Fort created from sticks found in streets and parks, “Cow’ sculptures made from upcycled metals, plus textiles, ceramics, photography, drawings & paintings.

The event is fully supported by the City of Marion, with no fee for the artists to enter. In addition, at the official launch, prizes will be presented for the ‘Most Outstanding Artwork’, as well as several ‘Merit Awards’. A ‘People’s Choice’ award is won at the close of the exhibition.

An added benefit for buyers is that any work purchased may be collected before Christmas – perfect for gift giving over the Festive Season. Normally, artwork would stay on display for the duration of an exhibition.
